Have you ever skipped a day? I mean an entire day. Not like waking up late, but actually skipping a day? Well for me, that day was Tuesday, March eleventh, Two-Thousand and Eight. I was asleep when that day passed. I'm sure some people were born that day, and that some people made the journey to Eternity that day, but none of that means anything to me, because on that day, I was making a journey of my own.
"Hey guys, me and your father got asked to pastor a church for a few months."
"Oh cool! Where?"
"In Fiji. We're leaving within the month. You guys are all welcome to come."
"..............What?"
And that's how it started. The story of how I died, for the first time. The story of how my flesh disappeared from my spirit.......
Originally my blog name was going to be written drops of insanity but than I was told by a higher power that that was not acceptable.

Television Obsession
I have an obsession. It wasn't an obsession until...hm, lets say January 1st 2012. My obsession with this show is easily justified. It has the perfect mix of humor, drama, and romance. It has its touching moments in which you want to cry as you empathize with the character, and you die laughing at the witty dialog and off the wall situations. Its seriously one of the best shows that 've seen since the Dick van Dyke show (which is awesome). The name of my latest obsession is.....
Avatar: The last airbender.
Yes, I know what you're thinking. "Really? a cartoon kids tv show? How old are you?"
But I must say that even from an objective point of view, this show is awesome. Don't diss it until you've tried it. No, seriously, watch it. It's on Netflix. Now that I'm talking about tv shows, whhy should I stop now.
Another one of my old tely obsessions was Heroes.
Perhaps you've heard of it? Heroes is not at all like the normal shows I watch. It was gory beyond compare and quite frightening. But I must say, that it kept me going, and it wasn't all about dating and relationships and boy-girl drama, (as some things are about nowadays) I once watched the entire season 2 in one sitting. (I was feeling sickly, don't judge me) One thing that pisses me off about Heroes, is the way it ended. It was without a doubt the most cliff hanger ending to anything I'd ever seen. "I came 4 seasons for this!!??"
My favorite Heroes character? Sylar.
Even though he was a deranged serial killer who mercilessly murdered people in the worst way possible, I knew that there was good in him, and that deep down, he really just wanted to be good all along (but don't tell that to the 4 seasons worth of dead people).
And My other favorites, are of course: Hiro and Ando, for obvious reasons.
If You've never seen Heroes, then thats not exactly a bad thing, it may or may not be for you.
Another show that I used to love is Smallville.
This used to be awesome, but then it got insanely redundant and mostly about sex. It was like this.
"Oh! Heres comes a tornado! It must be lex luthors fault!" "Whaat? Me! Why are you blaming a tornado on me!!?" "Because its your fault! Everything is your fault! Your an awful selfish person!!" The end. But then it got even worse when in the 8th season (which is where my obsession swiftly ended) they decided to take out lex luthor and replace him with another bad person. But I must say that before the..... I'll say 7th season, Smallville was awesome sauce, but then it took a wrong turn.
The last show I'm going to praise god that I'm not into anymore is......drum roll please!
Secret Life of the american teenager! THIS SHOW IS A CURSE. DO NOT WATCH UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. too bad it took me 4 seasons to realize this.
Now go, and be golden.

My recent discoveries
This post is going to have many different subjects. But hopefully they'll all be tied together in some way, so as not to seem like a bunch of random facts.
First off, I watched the Justin Bieber movie the other day. And I must admit that it was very depressing. Why? Because who wants to watch a movie about an underdog who plays a thousand instruments, can sing his butt off, solves a rubix cube in 2 minutes, and has talent out the wazoo. His young life is turning out perfect. His dreams came true. It was like watching a good reality tv musical.
I call the movie depressing because so many people out there want to get discovered. But no matter how much talent they have, they will never be as good as Justin Bieber. haha! But seriously, there isn't much hope for the rest of us. Justin Bieber is simply too cool. I know it must be hard to hear, but I'm sorry, you should stop trying now because YOU WILL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS JUSTIN BIEBER.
*the preceding was bad advice given from our on-site motivational speaker. You'll thank us later.
Speaking of cool random and inspiring things, (yeah... just go with it) I just discovered Pinterest. In short, Pinterest is an online pinboard. You can create different boards and fill them with things that you love. If you love food you can create a food board, if you love clothes or shoes then the same can go for those. I know this sounds really confusing so I'll just show you.
Heres a link to my Pinterest. Click on it.

The "B" word.....
Guess what?! well.....a few months ago at the SHARE harvest party, I played basketball. That in itself says a lot. Because before then, the last time I played basketball was in Mexico the year before, and when I played then, me and my friend ended up losing the game to a one legged boy (his other leg was broken). Now as you can imagine, losing to a one-legged person does wonders for your basketball self-esteem (it makes it plummet and crash to the ground). But the night of the Harvest party, I was incredibly bored, so I decided to shoot around with Calvin. After just messin around, Calvin had the bright idea that he was going to get a game going. So we start playing, and I hated to admit it, but it was fun. And I wasn't as breath takingly awful as I thought. Just shooting around with Malachi, Isiah, Calvin and Matthias got me thinking. "Hm," I said to myself, "this isn't so dreadful as I was originally lead to believe." So as I went home, I shared the news with my dad. His little ole face lit up with excitement (for basketball is his forte) "You wanna play!? Really!" ........
Two weeks later, I had my first practice. And it was much worse then I ever could have imagined. Pain. Breathlessness. Too much sweat (I'm sure some tears were in there as well). As I bent over gasping for my very life, I wanted to quit. I told myself that my life would be much easier if I never had to do this again. But then again, who said anything would be easy? I remembered the first time I started gymnastics again, It was like this. What if I had quit then? I never would have accomplished all I did that year. "Stick it out Janelle, this is only your first practice, you can do it!" said the Therapist in my head (that sounds a lot like this dude I know).
Basketball runs in my family. My dad played basketball in high school, college, he was the assistant coach for a college team, and he played in the 40 & over league (which I think is really funny). My uncle played, my aunt played, and my cousin(s) play(s). So I must say, that its quite intimidating having so many basketball stars surrounding you. I have never played organized basketball before in my life, and it's very scary. I'm scared of basketball. But I love conquering my fears, so basketball, prepare to be crushed.
Guess what again? I scored 12 points at one of my games last week!! whoot whoot! En tu cara! Go Patriettes!

Darn apple pt 2.
"I'm Not a dentist, go across the street."
"I'm not a dentist, go up the street."
"Is this a dentists office?"
"Yes, but he is not in. Go up the street."
This was the third doctor/dentists office within a 20ft radius. How did they all stay in business? After Grace had gotten her mirror and examined her mouth, she realized that what she held in her hand was indeed the outer wall of her tooth. Gross. Word eventually got out that 'Gracie broke her tooth' and less then a half hour later she found herself walking around town looking for a dentist. Thankfully she didn't have to make the fateful trip alone. Ana*, her team leader, Josh, the Country assistant, and Miranda, the faithful friend also accompanied her.
"Is the dentist in?"
"No, go next door?"
When they finally reached the last suggested place, it was packed with people, so they only assumed that they had finally struck gold. After signing in, and waiting a spell, They went back to the dentists room and got a diagniosis. When the young Panamian saw Grace's mouth she let out a shriek of horror. Grace had 7 cavities and 3 teeth that need to be extracted.
"Huh? Whats 'extracted'?" Grace worried. Josh smiled at her, "Don't worry, It'll be fine" he said as the dentist sat her down in the chair.
Grace laughed through her nervous fear, this was actually a really funny situation. Miranda sat next to her in a different chair, trying to comfort the tortured soul, while Ana talked to the dentist in Spanish, for Ana was the only fluent one in the group.
After the dentist took one more look at her patient, she started pulling out the tools. Nut crackers, wrenches, scissors, and knives is what all the dentistry tools looked like to Grace. More nervous laughter. Oh, junk.
After getting stabbed in the mouth by a needle, Grace felt one side of her face go numb, she heard Miranda laughing at the lopsided swollen-ness, and she felt the extraction process begin. ...
About a half hour later, after Grace had rinsed and spit for the fourth time, gotten the hole in her mouth sewed up, and said goodbye to a tooth she would never again have the pleasure of eating with, she received another important piece of information. She would have to get shots for antibiotics, shw would have to get shots, in her butt.
"Wha?!!" Grace asked with a numb and swollen mouth,
"Shhh! You can't talk for another half hour!"
Grace groaned, talk about an adventure.........

Darn Apple!
Grace sat on the makeshift bench eating her apple. The rest of her team was spread out on the other benches. They had just arrived at the church in a town called Booyala and already they had cleaned, swept, and brought in their many boxes and bags from the bus. Grace was not particularly happy to be there, as this was supposed to be her 5 days of rest and relaxation. But then she always had to stop and think, did she really come all this way to just sit around and do nothing? And she hadn't really done anything to deserve a week of rest, except for chopping weeds and pulling grass. So she sucked it up, and tried to be content.
Lunch was almost over and peanut butter and jelly was hastily being eaten by the slackers on the team. Grace took another bite out of her apple. Some of the skin got stuck in her teeth. Ugh, she hated that. She used her tongue to try and get it out so she wouldn't have to use her hands. Washing them was always an unnecessary pain and inconvenience. she felt the smooth texture of the skin wedged between her gum and tooth. She was still trying to get it out lunch ended. In haste she reluctantly stuck her finger up there and got it out. She spit it on to her hand to observe the little devil that gave her so much trouble.
Only, what she saw, wasn't the red skin of her apple. Immediately, when she saw it, she got a wrench in her gut. Could this really be what she thought it was? It could. She reached her tongue back up to her tooth, and felt the one thing she was dreading. Oh junk.............

I say the word 'Jimmer' alot here
This is 9th week. NO HOMEWORK!!! whoot whoot! But during this week, I find myself doing more work then I normally would. Thats what I get for slacking off during 8th week. :/
Yesterday was fall formal. It. Was. Awesome. Period.
Me and my little sister Olivia painted our nails. (they look awesome btw they're pink and sparkly)
Though I didn't have a dress to wear, or anyone to do my hair, it worked out shweetly. I danced and sweat and took pictures in the photo booth thing. it was great. :)
Well, while at the party, I saw Jimmer (individual that shall not be named). Now me and Jimmer grew up together, our families used to be really close and junk.
Well needless to say, eventually we grew further apart, and became pretty much like strangers who knew each others names. Nowadays every time me and Jimmer cross each others paths, it's alot like an awkward mess :/ And that sucks, because I miss Jimmer and his family. Whether or not they feel the same way, I knoweth not, and truth be told, I thinketh that they do not. (I really like saying thinketh and liketh and knoweth. and I have a rockin english accent)
I miss you Jimmer.
Last night I told this girl that I thought she was really pretty, and I made her feel really awkward. haha sorry lol
She kinda stuttered for like 2 minutes and then kinda said thank you....I think
I tend to make people feel awkward. But it's only because I love them
On a random note that has nothing to do with anything........
On sunday, I'm giving a presentation at church about my trip to Panama...woohoo!
I gotta lotta blogs to comment on.....
